Paul was a hybrid child, left to the harsh, brutal, suburban roads of Monaco. On one of his many world trips, a spritely sifu spotted the lizard boy and took him in, trained him in the Asian mastery of Martial Arts and unleashed him. He's now the ultimate solar powered killing machine.

Florence Hotel review: Hotel Collodi Firenze

This Hotel is breathtaking - for the price we paid and the location in Florence it was a fantastic deal.

The location is perfectly central to all the major attractions - right near the local shops and also a 2 minute walk from the Central Markets.

All the rooms are extremely impressive from what we've seen, although we were really lucky to get the showroom during the high tourist season.
The service is great and friendly and the breakfast is continental, of which you can eat as much as you like.

The rooms are serviced each morning - beds are made and fresh towels provided - access is through a second door with your own key and there is no curfew.

There is only one downside - there is no in house computer to use to access the internet - they have an ethernet cable in each room for internet access if you bring your own computer, however i didn't bring mine and was subjected to some pretty dodgy anti-terror laws just to check my email in a local internet cafe. This was most definitely not a highlight of Italy.

All in all if I was ever to recommend a hotel/hostel to someone in Florence this would be it!!

Paris Hostel review: Vintage Hostel

Great place - the beds were clean, made every day and fresh linen provided - most importantly it was tidy and roomy - there was a balcony and great views with only 10 mins walking from the Gare du Nord.

The Gare du Nord is quite dodgy looking but you get used to it quickly - it's not any reason to avoid staying.

Edit: I must mention that we asked for the double bed private en-suite as we were travelling as a couple.

The only 2 negative points i have are that the internet is VERY expensive - it's 5euro for an hour which in my opinion is just an utter rip off - look straight across the road and there is an internet cafe offering an hour of internet at a faster and better rate with better equipped computers for 2 euro an hour.

The other thing is a very small point - the shower curtains are too short and the water splashes the bathroom - it does get cleaned up every day (not an excuse to let someone clean up after you) but it wouldn't happen at all if the curtains were a little longer.

Overall i would recommend it to anyone and would gladly come back.
