Kuala Lumpur Hostel review: Wheelers Guest House

probably the worst place I have stayed on my 12 month trip. dirty with mice, noisy especially at night but most of the noise was made by the staff, reception would not answer any questions they would say see the manager who would say any problems contact me but you could hardly ever find him, bed linen and towels need to be thrown out and replaced and rooms are very hot and only a fan no window unless you pay nearly double the rate I looked at one the window looked into the stair well which was inside and as the other rooms could have done with a good clean. the only good thing was that it was right in the heart of China town and unlike other hostels and guest houses in this range you had to pay per person and not room for a private room so I had to pay for two even though i was alone so to end up if you dont mind sleeping in dirt with mice thats if you can get to sleep with the noise and you want something cheap stay at wheelers or pay a little more and be comfortable good luke to you all.

Suzhou Hostel review: Suzhou Watertown Hostel

Great hostel in fantastic city, staff very helpful but need a little more practice with there English but they try very hard, located in quite lane with security coded gate, good wi fi connection and free internet for first 30 minutes on hostels own computers but they do not time you, they have free DVD's to use plus DVD players also free in lounge they also have cycle hire for 25rmb a day no deposit and with that they give you a bottle of water and map. hostel is a short taxi ride from main train station cost 10rmb and half an hour train ride to Shanghai on D train cost 31rmb each way 1st class, all in all a great time had by all. only negative they do not sell food or cold drinks but shops very close.

Xi'an Hostel review: Xiangzimen International Youth Hostel

got off to a bad start as they say pick up from station but in reality they meet you and put you on a local bus so if you want to get a taxi let them know when booking, apart from that a great quite hostel in fantastic location close to the south gate of the city wall and the drum and bell tower's, they have a big restaurant and bar with reasonable prices but there are a lot of local shops and food places very close and you can pick up a 500ml beer for 2.5 RMB in the shop opposite the hostel they have a good knowledge of of local attractions and speak reasonable English and are very helpful. and 100 MTS away you can book train tickets without having to go to station all in all a good hostel and I would recommend with out any hesitation.
