Our hotel is absolutly charming.....the rooms are air conditioned and very chilly at night, which has been a comfort to what we have been staying in so far! The Hotel Serranissima is about a block from St. Mark's Square! The crowds don't seem so bad here in Venice due to the lack of cars on the streets! It's very quite during the day and at night on the square, you can hear beautiful string music! The shopping near the Rialto bridge is the best in all of Venice! There is a wide range of food here, so eating can be very enjoyable and does not have to be expensive.....We head to Lake Geneva on Sunday to visit Dad's cousins for a few days. We hope to be in Paris by August 24th for two weeks, so that we could have a "base camp" to travel to and from......
