Well, I've made made it to about 75 countries on 6 continents and many more planned for for 2009.

enjoyed a $40 drink in Dubai's Burj Al Arab skybar
ziplined the rainforest canopy of Costa Rica
cave-tubed down an underground river in Belize
sat with sea lions & redfoot booby's in the Galapagos straddled the equator in Mitad del Mundo in Ecuador transited thru the Panama Canal
explored the ruins of Copan in the Honduras mountains
Float-planed to remote inlets in Alaska
canoed in front of a calving glacier in Alaska
hiked at the peak of Haleakala volcano on Maui
night snorkeled at Black Rock in Maui
seen the glowworms in the caves in New Zealand
snorkeled the Great Barrier Reef of Australia
slid downhill on the sand dunes in VietNam's beaches
explored the ruins of Pompeii in Italy
walked on top of the walled city of Dubrovnik, Croatia
sipped wine overlooking the harbor on Santorini
explored the Acropolis in Athens, Greece
saw my first bar fight in Mazatlan, Baja California
walked up the Great wall of China
seen the wonders of the Terra Cotta soldiers in Xi'an
rode a 330 MPH bullet train in Shanghai
eaten at the top of the Macau Tower (600+ feet up)
experienced all the Walt Disney property's except Tokyo
been interviewed on international TV several times
been to many Super Bowl NFL player parties
done all there is to do in Hollywood, California
had shots of vodka in real 'ice bars" in Scandinavia
been bodypainted on Duval Street in Key West, Florida
planted gnomes in Gnomesville, Australia
swam with sharks and stingrays in Bora Bora,Polynesia
sipped port in Lisbon, Portugal
walked among the ruins of Ephesus, Turkey
crawled through the Cu-Chi tunnels of South Vietnam
explored Mayan ruins in the mountains of Copan, Honduras
been amazed at the sculptures of Loveland in Jeju, Korea
seen glow-worms while canoeing Waitomo Caves in New Zealand
danced in Deniros of Newmarket the UK's largest nightclub
relaxed in a beachfront home on a marine preserve in Grand Cayman
sang karaoke in Capd'Agde, France
walked among ruins of ancient Olympia in Greece
boated up the Neretva River in Bosnia-Herzegovina & Croatia
"glamped" in Australia's Outback at Uluru (Ayers Rock)
been to some "wild places" in Pattaya, Thailand

My 2 week South Africa adventure-March 2009

My 2 week South Africa adventure started with a flight from the Sarasota Airport (Tampa Bay) to New York City just after their 14 inch snowfall so it was bitter cold in the Big Apple but some good times with friends in Manhattan more than made up for the cold....

Then a 17 1/2 hour scheduled flight from JFK Airport in New York to Johannesburg, South Africa turned into a 24+ hour trip after some unfortunate, unscheduled activity. After a stop in Dakar, Senegal (northwest coast of Africa) for refueling, we flew for several hours before diverting to Accra, Ghana due to a passenger's heart attack en route (she was pronounced dead on arrival in Ghana)...making the final landing in Jo-Burg a little solemn.

After an overnight stay in Johannesburg, a quick 2 hour flight to Cape Town was followed by a 1 hour drive to Hermanus where a new and beautiful guest home (Bed and Breakfast) overlooking False Bay was awaiting. But before that, it was off on an eco-marine tour of the coastline via l
