Taipei Hostel review: Taipei Hostel

I like this hostel as it provides good location and ample space in the dorm. Packing and unpacking of baggage was an ease with the ample space in the dorm. Cost is competitive as it is considered lowest in the area. However, the owner is rather stingy with the consumption of electricity and will only switch on the air conditioning after 11pm and switch off at 7am sharp. If you come back after 12am and the air conditioning is not switched on, she will not switch for you as she and the other crew would be resting already. If you do not mind this, I recommend this hostel as it provides good location and good space as well as good bed for resting. Facilities wise is rather sufficient. 6 person to a bathroom (just make sure you all don't wake up at the same time to avoid congestion)

Taipei Hostel review: Hostel of Taiwanmex

Overall, Taiwanmex is a good hostel to stay if you do not mind the lack of facilities (shower room is actually a temporary shower cubic unit) and the moderate space (double room). The location is quite good (at ZhongShan MRT) which is centralized. Cost is also very competitive and considered one of the lowest in the area. Not a bad place if you want good location/moderate room space and don't mind the lack of proper facilities.

Taipei Hostel review: JV's Hostel

This hostel is very neat and clean. However, the hostel dorm is very small. Each room has two double deck bed and 4 lockers, each for each guest. The space between the two bed is roughly 1.5x average person shoulder width, which makes packing/unpacking of bag very difficult and inconvenient. The location is not ideal as it is quite far from MRT station. Price is not very attractive compared to other hostel which has better location and space allocation.
