Well this entry is long over due. However, there have been numerous attempts to post an entry between the slow connections, power outages and forgotten passwords it has been difficult for me to get this out.
Here is a very short overview of the trip so far.
We arrived in Ethiopia after a very long flight from Washington D.C. and were put up at a decent hotel. The beds looked very old and well used. While we were sitting down stairs enjoying Ethiopian beer water came pouring down from the ceiling. The next day we arrived in Kigali. We were met by Jean Paul; only the sweetest, nicest and most patient person I have ever met. We arrived in Gitarama shortly after and settled into our new house which is very nice. We met his sister Hadija who faithfully and wonderfully cooks lunches and dinners for us. The next day we went back to Kigali to tour the city. We visited the "Hotel Rwanda", Hotel Milles Collines and the also the genocide memorial. That was a moving and unforgetta
