Amsterdam Guesthouse review: Amsterdam Truelove Guesthouse and Antiques

This for me was very disappointing as it was one of our destinations that I have been looking forward to the most. The website is a bit mis-leading. "True love GUEST HOUSE" says something totally different than a small apartment in a very noisy and student crowded area. We expected something more along the lines of "romantic" and not a tiny little apartment with the sides of your front door covered with "grafitti"... it was not explained that the apartment does not get serviced - we stayed for 3 nights and had to eventually buy our own toilet paper - as they only provided one roll. This apartment would be a perfect spot as a student traveller seeking the thrill of coffee shops and pubs. The reception area is the actaul antique shop with the guest house above - this area was always closed with a note on the door with a telephone number for any assistance - NO personal touch.

Paris Hotel review: Hotel Beauséjour Montmartre

This is a basic hotel in a side street close to Place d'Clichy. If you are looking for basic accommodation in an area that is less touristic then I would recommend this hotel. They have a very good continental breakfast for about 8 Euro. There are local food stores in the area if you want to buy picnic food and plenty of cafes. The Place d'Clichy is one of the metro stops so you have easy access to the whole of Paris from this location. All in all we had a great time here, spending our first 2 nights and our last night in Paris here.
