Marrakech Hotel review: Islane Hotel
I could not find much about islane hotel on the internet before I booked this room. And to my surprise I was so pleased with this hotel. We had a fantastic view from our room of the koutobia mosque/mineret just a stone throw away. It was very close to the main square about 7 mins walk and ideal location if you caught the bus from the airport as it stops just outside the hotel. The main surprise was the breakfast on the terrace with magnificent views of the snow mountains of the high atlas. It was a nice way to begin the day with the breath taking views (can't see if cloudy). Hotel very basic but clean. Gave u towels and had air conditioning which we did not use instead set it to heat setting as it was cold when we went. The staff spoke english and were friendly. The breakfast could have been abit more interesting though very basic bread/buns but had some nice freshly cut oranges. Lots of tea/coffee and homemade cake which was lovely. However its very dark in the rooms in the evening after sunset but very bright in the bathroom so if you don't mind dim lighting its perfect. we had a tv in the room but did not have an english channel but we did not mind watching it anyway in french or arabic. Internet cafe round the corner from it. Overall good experience of the moroccon culture.
