Funchal Guesthouse review: Residencial Americana

Regarding Residencial Americana, there are several points that should be mentioned: First, the location is wonderful, right in downtown of Funchal near Pharmacies, restaurants, coffee-shops, gift-shops, the works... that is rather convenient, but in the Sumeer at least it brings several issues like the night noise from the restaurants, coffees and parties; another main issue is related with parking, since Residencial Americana has no designated parking spaces and the prices for parking the car in Funchal are ridiculously high. Your arrival at the Residencial is blessed with a Call Button, when someone is not there to receive you - no worries, there is always someone at the other end of the telephone, even if they don't seem so "normal" at first. After the door is opened, you are presented with yet another surprise: a big stairway, specially if you have big cases. The rooms are small, yet clean and with nice conditions; the bathroom is really small, the shower being the downpoint due to its reaaaaally small size. In the morning, the breakfast is the worst part - if you can, discard it in your reservation and go eat outside; i garantee there will be wonderful places spread throughout the town.
