Bern Hostel review: Pension Marthahaus

We loved our stay here, the breakfast, included in the price, was really decent and the free use of the downstairs kitchen was a great bonus.
The room was large and comfortable with a TV providing plenty of channels, and the internet downstairs was free.
There were plenty of showers and toilets on each floor to cater for all the guests, we didnt have to wait around for a shower at all.
The building itself is really quaint and the service was terrific.

Florence Hotel review: Hotel Marcella

The hotel is situated on a quiet street very near to the station so the location was idyllic. It was possible to get a room with an ensuite bathroom for a good price, and the rooms are big and full of light.
However the facilities were very basic- no TV or cooking facilities were available and service staff were not particularly friendly.

Rome Hostel review: Mamma Mia

It is a fairly small hotel and the walls are quite thin so you can hear most of what goes on in the other rooms! Our room overlooked the main road which was very noisy at night and was right next to reception so overall noise level was high.
However the service was great, our host was very congenial and helpful, and the breakfast, made in the kitchen while you sit at the table, was value for money.
