"Life's too short to be unhappy"

Citizenship: GermanyI'm a life-enjoying person, I like to laugh a lot and to fool around but also to have meaningful conversations and find out more about the people around me, so spending a lot of time around my friends and people in general is very important to me and I'm always organising get-togethers. I like partying and spending time outside (at the lake, having bbqs etc) but sometimes I also enjoy just hanging out in front of the TV or reading. Music also plays an important role in my life as there is always a song that perfectly mirrors my mood, be it good or bad. I mostly listen to R'n'B and HipHop but I also like some house, rock and pop. In my free time I also do gymnastics which I absolutely love. I love travelling and want to see as much of the world as possible and I am always interested in talking to people from other parts of the world and share experiences. My family and I have been doing a lot of camping throughout the years and I've seen quite a bit of Europe already but I am always keen on seeing new places and learning about other cultures.
I spent a year in Australia working and living in Sydney for most of the time which was a great experience and has taught me a lot about myself.
At the moment, I am studying to be a teacher of English, chemistry (yes, I spend most of my days in the lab, but explosions, colours and chemoluminescene are fun!) and German as a foreign language but I'd also love to work in linguistics.
I hate ignorance, intolerance, fussiness and liars and they make me angry but apart from that, I think I'm pretty easy to get along with. :)
gymnastics, linguistics, reading, swimming, learning languages

I have done a lot of travelling in Europe, mostly camping and am able to give tips on where to go and stay and how to get there. I am most familiar with Germany and will be happy to help you find information that is only available in German.
» Ask butafly a question about Europe.
I am German and have lived in Germany all my life. I have travelled around a lot, not only in Germany but in most European countries and Australia. I am from Kassel, currently living and studying in Marburg and am most familiar with Hessen and central Germany but might also be able to answer questions about other regions and cities or find out things that are only available on the internet in German, so don't hesitate to ask!
