Very average backpacker place. Do not expect too much by virtue of the prices here. Location is pretty alright and near both the subway stations and Sensoji.

Kyoto Hostel review: Backpackers Hostel K's House Kyoto

Possibly the best run hostel I've ever stayed in. Facilities were excellent, staff were very well informed and spoke excellent English.

No complaints whatsoever. Highly recommend this joint.

Osaka Hostel review: Hotel Chuo

Very convenient location that is right next to Dobutsuen-Mae station. While the neighbourhood is known to be dodgy by some locals, the homeless people hardly present any threat to traveller safety.

Hotel Chuo is no-frills, therefore you get what you pay for.

Still a pretty good value proposition for budget travellers.
