The past week has been extremely busy!
I got into London Heathrow on Monday, Sept. 17th, and finally made it to the hotel after long, long, long lines at immigration and a decent busride. The hotel that the orientation was held in was located in Kensington, so it was a very nice neighborhood to wander around. The first night even though we were tired, we decided to go out and find a pub and celebrate, so we headed out and had our first pub quiz experience with the aid of some extremely drunken old Irish men, it was a interesting night.
The rest of the orientation was on Tuesday/Wednesday, when we weren't being talked at, we went to the British Museum, had high tea, saw all the typical tourist sites (Big Ben/Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Trafalagar Square, London Bridge, Tower Bridge). The only thing that was not great was that London was ridiculously expensive, but there was no getting around it so you just had to deal.
