"Enjoy, experience, learn and leave things better than I found them"

Citizenship: USAI lve in a condo in Seattle with my partner of 12 years, Vivian, our cat, Sparky, and for the time being, my 19 year old son, Michael. I love being a Naturopathic doc. I am in my office 4 days a week and in a free clinic 2 days a month. I tend to make lemonade instead of complaining about the sourness of life.
Hobbies:I am a kayaking maniac. I am exited about getting a wetsuit for xmas so I can practice self rescue techniques and rolling safely in cool water. Also, If I do go in inadvertantly, I will stay warmer for longer.
I enjoy making things out of beads, taking photos with my waterproof camera (I drowned my last one, which wasn't waterproof) reading (I am in a reading group and mostly enjoying the books I have discovered thruogh them) walking and going to the YMCA first thing in the morning. It starts my day off well. I like to travel, don't get much opportunity to, except when I go the conferences and seminars. Oh yeah, and I like to surf the web aimlessly to relax my mind sometimes.
Well, I love living in Seattle. I enjoy the Northwest corner of the country and still haven't seen it all. I find Lopez Island, in the San Juans to be a refuge, enjoy Sequim, (pronounced Squim), Vancouver BC, Port Angeles, especially the Sculpture garden, Whidbey Island where I first lived when I moved up here, I could go on and on.
I went on a kayak tour of the Discovery Islands and Desolation Sound between Vancouver Island and mainland Canada a few years ago. It was extraordinarily beautiful. Sedona AZ is a magnificent spot, the scenery is breathtaking, but I wouldn't want to live there. San Francisco is always great, been there, done that, like to visit and then come home to Seattle, the best place even when it does rain.

Vivian and I had thanksgiving at our place this year. The day before Jeanette called to say she was ill and couldn't come, so Nick brought Mike's wife, Tiara up with him. Mike got to the condo a couple minutes before Nick, Amanda and Tiara came in, then Mike's other Mom, Ann came and finally our friend Tommie. We had a lovely dinner, minus the pumpkin pies Mom was going to bring. Actually, Melody had used the pumpkin pie filling Mom had gotten for pie the week before to feed the mobs of us at Jeanette's.
Vivian baked a beef briskett 24 hours, adding an apple butter glaze during the last part of the baking process. It was tender and tasty. She also cooked a turkey breast and two drumsticks for the traditionalists amongst us. Que did an experiment that turned out well, baked squash with quince. In addition, I cooked my usual twice baked potatoes and green beans with mushrooms and onions. Nick and Ann both brought apple pies and Michael (via Ann) brought the rolls, white, who
