"La vie en Rose"

Citizenship: USAName: Emily. Occupation: Student. Born 1989. From Minnesota. Live in Philadelphia. It gives me the shivers to start writing "about me" sections. We do it all the time, I should really be used to it by now. I'm a college student currently studying in Paris for the spring semester. I like hot chocolate, cozy cafés, and variété (French music).
Hobbies:Reading, writing. Watching Friends via the internet. When I get a chance I like to go for long walks in the small 'quartiers' of Paris. Back in the US, I'm a big fan of curling up in my room with a book and a cup of cocoa.
Favourite places:Definitely Paris. There's this tiny theatre in the Latin Quarter (student section) where Eugene Ionesco's La Chantatrice Chauve was first produced. They still play it almost every weekend. The class Shakespeare and Co. English bookstore outside Notre Dame. In Philadelphia, the Green Line Café, Avril 50, and the original Naked Chocolate Café. In Tours, France, Au Temps du Roi, the best French Café I've ever been to. In Minnesota, The Walker Art Center, Sculpture Garden, Cosi's by the Lake (though it's gone now), and the forbidden park that's reserved for the upper echelons of "Crosby Cove" in my neighborhood.

It has advice/ideas for studying abroad, as well as some more personal observations about life in France...
Please, take a look! My latest article ( http://www.examiner.com/x-4901-Philadelphia-Study-Abroad-Examiner~y2009m4d4-Obama-gives-new-responsibility-to-Americans-abroad) focuses on Obama's recent speech at Strasbourg and how it effects American Tourists!
