My apologies

Have been very busy as of late, but am half-heartedly determined not to declare this blog a dismal failure just yet! That being said, I'm basically about to copy and paste a previously written email or two

Something very very strange happened Tuesday: I felt about 6 tiny drops of rain. fortunately, I survived those 6 drops and lived through that 'precipitation' and today I made sure to have my sunscreen so as not to get a sunburn in my t-shirt this morning on the balcony of the school. Admittedly, though, it is still pants weather.

Well, except that i seem to have the smallest little cold which has limited my night-time cavorting because my sinuses aren't so happy--it was only ten when I got home two nights ago after watching "Y tu Mama Tambien" in a little cafe with some classmates because i was a tad congested. Last night I made up for that with my first experience of Guatemalan karaoke, though. No, sorry I didn't sing, but maybe la proxima vez?

The food here is fantast
