Although it is currently the official Green Season and all Costa Rica hotels are releasing their special rates for this rainy season, the National Meteorology Institute (NMI) has announced that the country should expect to perceive the effects of the dog days.

The term refers to the hottest days of the year that normally fall between the months of July through September in the northern hemisphere while the southern hemisphere should expect these sultry days from January through March. The term dog days gets its name from the Latin word caniculae which refers to the Dog Star Sirius.
The meteorologist Evelyn Quiros from the NMI has announced that in Costa Rica, the phenomenon will be quite unique and somewhat irregular. Quiros mentioned that the Central Valley as well as the Pacific Coast will present a decrease in rain while the Caribbean Coast will have more rain due to the

Alajuela Guesthouse review: B&B Vista Atenas
I stayed here on my wayback to San Jose Airport. This small place, located in Atenas town and only 35 minutes from Airport was one of my favorite experiences in Costa Rica. The staff is very friendly and the view is amazing.
