Beijing Hotel review: Lian Sheng Hotel
First of all I have to feedback that Lian Sheng Hotel is specially catered for the backpackers because of its pricing. But in my opinion, it would not be wise to book there unless you are planning a really long stay. And before you book, I would strongly advise that you call to find out from them whether their road leading to their hotel is under construction or not, if not you might be swearing and cursing while carrying your lug gages along their constructed road (if any). Trust me, you won't want to walk along planks and with heavy machinery working without safety tapes encircling it. I was unlucky.
In aspect to the location, I must say its not too bad because its very near Tiananmen Square. (Which is quite central already) Within 10 minutes of walk you should also be able to find MRT station that will bring you around the city of Beijing.
In terms of cleanliness you can forget about it because there isn't much. Dirts particles can easily be found anywhere inside your room. Though housekeepers will come in every morning to tidy your room, you won't want to fully depends on it.
Quality comes along with higher price. So fellow travelers, if you book it, you must learn what is give and take.
Facilities? There isn't any! That place is merely just for you to sleep and wash up. That's all. By the way there is also no WIFI. But if you need internet, you got to specifically ask for a room with internet line.
The first thing I arrived and want to check in, they didn't even know I booked my room via this site. And don't even think about showing them your printed reservation sheet because I doubt they understand it (No offense but the two whom is at the reception counter apparently don't know English). So in the end after I insist that I paid a deposit, then they arrange a room for me. And in the morning, you can expect to be waken up if you have a late night. Firstly, inside their room they don't have double lock. Secondly, it don't make the effort to provide guests with the Do Not Disturb Signs.
After all, you should get the rough idea about what you are paying for. If you don't mind all these small little details, please go ahead because they are probably one of the lowest rate in town.
Welcome to Beijing
