Bangkok Hostel review: Niras Bankoc Boutique Hostel

Location was indeed up to expectations and it stood out among the other shop houses along Mahachai Road. Good location to walk to attractions like Wat Pho and the Grand Palace etc. Chinatown is just a taxi ride away (in which the meter runs really slow). Furnished with an antique atmosphere, the overall feel of the hostel was cool and refreshing. I loved our 4-bed dorm, very nice wood furnishing, a very homely feel with a couch with videos to watch and books to read (and also a platform for making new friends with other travelers). Cool coffee house too (cafe's open to the public for a drink). The hostel also had advice for travelers pasted near their stairs, warning tourists of scammers who try to cheat people by telling them attractions were closed and give them an overpriced package on their tuk-tuks. The girls were very nice and friendly there too, giving advice on getting around. Thank you May and Venus and staff for making our stay so memorable, it was so sad we were only planning to stay for one night there. I wish I could stay much longer! (: Niras Bankoc Boutique Hostel, you rock! The people are awesome!
