First stop was Jakarta. We then headed to West Java to this island called Pulau Umang - it overlooked the volcanic islands of krakatau. It was gorgeous. Small little private resort island all to ourselves as we were the only occupants there! We then headed back to Jakarta a few days later where we flew off to Lombok - Less commercialised than Bali with gorgeous beaches. Sand on the west were as black as pepper while the sand on the south were as white as snow. Went off the island to gili trawangan which I personally felt was like the ibiza + jamaica of Indonesia - Loved it there! We could watch dvd in little huts by the beach or do just about nothing. When visiting Lombok, do NOT miss the 3 gili island - gili trawangan being the largest and the party island of the 3.
