Initially visited Geneva (UN) for PH.D. meetings in 1998 (Aug). Returned to visit girlfriend who works for WIPO. More recently, traveled to Luzern by train from Paris via Lausanne. Discovered Luzern Glacier Garden in Lucerne (natural monument), spent overnight behind bars in historic Jailhouse Hotel. Strolled along hypnotic Lake Luzern, boarded William Tell paddlewheel lunchen boat to take in breath-taking mountain and coastal towns and incredible views all afternoon to Fluelen. Blew whistle?!Rode train through Alp tunnels and along death-defying aquaduct bridges to Lucern. Watched acrobatic planes overhead. Savoured every moment!
