Citizenship: CanadaI'm Canadian, and proud of my "mutt" heritage mix of English, Scottish, and First Nations. Like too many Canadian's I've lost much of my antecedents' traditional cultures, but I feel that I've gained a much broader, objective and optimistic perspective on life.
These days I'm studying at Uni in Brisbane, Australia, and exploring the country when i can get away from my books.
Hobbies:Anything that sends adrenaline pumping through my veins. I also love serenity and the outdoors. Hiking, cycling, motorcycling, snowboarding/skiing, sailing, cliff-jumping. Reading, meditating (Vipassana), and playing music.
Over the next 6 months I'm hoping to add surfing and climbing to my list!
I'm a supporter of human rights and a believer in the beautiful capacity humans have evolved to love (although i'll admit that our proficiency at cruelty is quite astounding at times).
Lake Kashagawigamog: my childhood refuge, my grandparent's home, a beautiful lake in the Haliburton Highlands in Ontario, Canada.
The Rocky Mountains: this is where my heart lies. I grew up skiing, snowboarding, camping and hiking in these mountains. Their beauty is unique (to me, at least).

I just watched Gael Garcia being loaded onto a truck and shipped off to his new home in Canberra. Parting IS such sad sorrw. I must say I didn't think I'd get so emotional about a motorcycle, but I suppose we've been through a lot together. C'est la vie!
I'm already looking forward to my next adventure... Whenever it may be.
