Reykjavik Guesthouse review: Guesthouse Egilsborg

Overpriced for what we got. We'd stayed in another guesthouse in Rekjavik a week earlier before taking off round Iceland, and that was slightly more expensive but much better and had an en-suite, not a shared bathroom (unfortunately they were fully booked for the second weekend which is why we went to Guesthouse Egilsborg). The bathroom Guesthouse Egilsborg looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a while and the sink didn't work in the bathroom. I know there was a sink in the room but that's not the point. One morning at breakfast we waited 15 minutes for hot water and were on the point of leaving without a hot drink for breakfast. It was ok, I wouldn't say you should steer clear at all costs, but there are much better value and cleaner places out there.
