Sometime ago, around 3:30 in the morning somewhere in Project 6..a young woman was in labor for her 2nd child.
There was nothing special about the pregnancy. It was just in a lying-in clinic, a midwife will be attending the delivery.
No doctors, no nurses and no father around.. like the usual (nowadays).
Clock is ticking..then at 4:15,baby-out.
"It's a boy!"
The heavens are crying..not sure if its for happiness or for pain.
The baby was crying..not sure if its for happiness or for pain.
But the mother was crying..indeed FOR PAIN!
Pain for everything..labor, delivery,decision,loss..you name it..
She looked at her baby for the first time..there were tears..and then silence.
No words are enough to undo the damage, both to the mother and the child.
..still the heavens are crying..
She holds the baby close to her, enough to make him feel the warmth of a hug..
but not enough to make him feel the love.
It wasn't enough.. It will never be..
