Geneva Hotel review: AppartValley Résidence Porte de Genève
We stayed in one of the 2 person studios. Nice, clean, relatively large rooms, with a kitchen having the essentials, nice bathroom, good large bed. Although the building is situated right next to the Swiss-French customs (in France), the rooms are very quiet. Actually, the only lesser thing about this hostel is the weird location: right next to the customs in France, so do not forget to take your passport with you at all times (we were stopped by the swiss customs officers while walking to the car that was parked on the Swiss side of the street). Finding the hostel entrance wasn't the easiest thing either, as it is actually calles ApartValley, and not Porte Geneve (at least that's written on the door). The hostel is part of a building complex called Porte de France, the first building on the right after you pass the customs (if you are coming from the swiss side), where lots of other shops and offices are situated. From the hostel you can reach the center of Geneve very easily, by tram it takes about 15 min, and the trams run frequently.
