Venice Hotel review: Giardinetto

This place is great for location. This was it's main advantage apart from not being in the super busy touristic parts. It was approx 15 mins from piazza San Marco by public transport (sometimes less depending on which ferry you took). Lido is very pretty and a more relaxed area, definitely cheaper to eat out. The hotel staff speak English and are happy to help but when I was there they only had a small amount of information leaflets about events and had no maps to take. Breakfast is an extra 5 euros and only consists of tea & coffee, breads, some pastries and preserves. It was clean and functional with a safe for valuables in the wardrobe. The bathroom we had was tiny and there was no view from our room but it was comfortable and a useful place to stay without spending the hyped prices near San Marco. I rated 4 stars overall because of location and accessability.
