Well im in my second month here in Jasper working as a lift-op at Marmot Basin. 3rd season at a ski resort. my tip don't work at the hill. i just never learn from my own mistakes... really low pay and everything in town (food, drinks) costs you some sort of vital organ. so you basically live to ride. the hill maybe hits over a meter for a base. we reached that mark maybe a week ago. then it got to minus 40 temp. the hill shut down for 2 days! the hill does provide you accomidations at an aptartment buliding at the end of town called Cavell. it feels like im living in dorms, for a cost of $300(cad) a month. it is a bachlor pad with 1 or 2 other people. you have all your friends close to you so you always have someone to watch a movie with. there is normally a band or some sort of event going on in town. so if your bored it's your own fault.
im thinking of leaving the hill though. i have a job at a resturaunt called Earls, trying to get on as a server! working evenings leaving my days
