Quick 12-day trip...my first truly solo traveling experience. Met up with a friend in San Jose and spent two days eating casado con polla and driving from Volcan Poas to Volcan Irazu. Took a bus to Montezuma for New Year's Eve, then a boat to Jaco, but to Manual Antonio (via Quepos), back to Jaco, then to Monteverde, and La Fortuna before heading back to San Jose and flying home.
Hands-down highlight of the trip was the zip-line tour and night walk in Monteverde. Close second was the 6am boat ride from Montezuma to Jaco.
