Glasgow Hostel review: Euro Hostels
i guess it was okay, until the receptionist put me into the wrong and occupied room (i booked a private room for 2)! When i realised that we were in the wrong room, they moved us right away, a little bit rushing, and then came the moment where i forgot some of my stuff in the previous room. Its just sad that they just told me to wait until the next morning to check in the lost and found section of the hotel. Sorry, but i dont trust people that much, especially with my personal belongings. The kitchen was okay, the common room is large and comfy, the room is also comfy, especially when the heater is working (I visited during winter, when u needed the heater the most). Well, overtime, during my 6 days stay, the heater is not that warm enough. Oh, and when you visited this place, do prepare a lot of coins, because you might need it to buy Pringles, Cokes, tea or coffee and to turn on the TVset. Bear in mind you have to be patient with the card-operated elevators.
Edinburgh Hostel review: Caledonian Backpackers
my first youth hostel experience in UK. Even though I almost got lost when looking for this hostel (completely my own fault), but I immediately fell in love with this hostel. Close to Princes street, the Castle, Grassmarkets, and if you want to go to Rosslyn Chapel, just cross the street to St. John's bus stop. Access is easy, kitchen is huge and comfortable, nice TV & internet room, PLUS: wifi access within your room... how convenient! Definitely would love to stay here again when I'm back to Edinburgh.
