Laid back countryside and Shanghai wide-eyed!

Apologies for the lack of visual stimulation but unfortunately our internet in Kathmandu is crap to say the least so you will have to use your imaginations until we get back from Everest Base Camp in 2 weeks (hopefully!) and update this blog.

Weds 4th - Checked out from the Chengdu Mix Hostel and spent the day killing time before our 25 hour sleeper train to Guilin. Si tried to buy some trainers as his are, well how shall we say, tired looking, smelly, falling apart.... you get the idea! Unfortunately however, despite being very cheap (about £10!) they only make up to size UK 8, occasionally 9. Lets hope the Hong Konganese have bigger feet for everyones sake! Got to the station 60 minutes early as advised, only to find the train was delayed for 1.5 hours. Joy. 2 hours being constantly stared at by the locals and nothing to do in a big smelly, over filled room.
