Ayutthaya Hotel review: The Lima Place
If you are driving its not a bad place for budget reasons...but if you are hiring a car I would imagine you can stay at a more pricey place. Its out of the centre and they offer bicycles to hire or you can use there tuk tuk service. there is no hot water in the rooms and I was told that you need to hire a VIP room. I didn't bother as I was only there for 2 nights. The food is good but expect to get bitten by mozys as it is out in the countryside so to speak. Services are pretty good and the lady there is very helpful. I wouldnt stay here again though I was just a little too disapointed by no hot water and the location. At night...you really are in the middle of nowhere. But for the money, its not that bad....if you like cold showers.
Funny thing is though...now I'm back in Europe....I would love to be there now, I miss it!
Hua Hin Hotel review: Baan Manthana Hotel
The location is good and 2mins walk to a good market but is a fair walk to the beach (10-15min or 4-5mins on scooter). The hotel itself is fairly basic but clean and a modern edge to it. There are 2 parts an old building and a new with construction work going on between them. The pool is nice but it doesn't really get the sun (untill its going down)...pretty cold! But refreshing on them real hot days. I didnt think the value was all that good compared to other places I had stayed in....but I was there high season (not sure if the price drops out of season) The satff seem to want to help but know very very little English compared to other places. Not too much facility wise but still an ok stay.
Krabi Hotel review: Aonang Cozy Place
A lovely place to stay in. The rooms are very stylish, cozy, very clean and modern for the money. Its 10 minutes walk from the beach and to the central location but still plenty of everything just outside the door. Taxis are passing by all the time if yours legs cant take it. They do have there own scooters they hire out which are the latest models and very good for 200 baht a day. Breakfast is good but a bit strange, it is eat as much as you like but you have to keep ticking a piece of paper and it will get prepared for you. The facilities are very good although they dont have a swimming pool on site. They will drive you to the lovely pool 5mins away which is in a luxury hotel, owned by the same family. Service was great, very helpful and friendly. I would definatley stay again as it is one of the best rooms I've stayed in for the money throughout all my travels to Thailand.
