Second Instalment

Hello all, so this is the second instalment of our blog, apologies for the delay, I've been waiting for a rainy day to sit down and type all this up but apart from the odd 5 minute shower, I'm still waiting!

We finished up last time in Sapa in the North of Vietnam. We really enjoyed our time in Sapa, it is a beautiful part of the country up in the mountainous North near the Chinese border. We stayed at a place called Sapa Rooms which is run by an Aussie guy called Pete who does a lot of work in the local community through not for profit projects and promoting the increase of ethnic minority living standards. Really good guy with a great enthusiasm for what he's trying to, and succeeding in doing, in the area. We went on a trek with one of his guides (a local girl from a nearby village) through the terraced rice fields to one of the local villages. Some pics...
