Kiwi Boots, the start and origins

Ok so a mate and I are now planning to atempt a walk around the North Island of New Zealand. It started a a joke after we heard he couldn't compete in the stair climb at the sky tower due to him not being a fireman so he made a remark about walking there insted. In 413 days we will head off departing from Wainuiomata in Wellington and ending it in Cape Reanga at the northen most point. Why so far away? Well I'm rather unfit and have some physicle issues to try and work around, at this point I'm not even sure if I can make it.

We will be doing this with full packs to survive and are taking a some what wavy route up the middle of the island avoiding much of the main highways and turist traps to see the back hidden side of our country that we normaly wouldn't know exsisted. I need to buy some shoes as my steel caps are giving me blisters in trainig at the moment and at some point I'll be buying a new smart phone to keep updated on the net as a
