This is a bit of new thing for me. I have always travelled with a notebook, fully intent on writing down my experiences in a kind of travel journal, but not really doing anything with it afterwards, let alone look at it again!
My first travel journal I suppose dates back to 1982, when I travelled back to England from Australia with my family for a 6-week holiday, about 6-months before we moved back to England for good. I kept a diary of the things we did, places we visited, and people we met, and also the feelings I had about meeting my cousins, aunts and uncles again after almost 10 years. I wish I could find it again - doubtless it would make for interesting reading.
Anyhow, the next time was Crete in 2003, I think? I did nothing with that. Then my wife and I went to Paris at Christmas 2004.
