Sherpagarson hits the virtual world

Yes, this is my first blog!
To keep everyone up to date with what is going I on decided to participate in the 21st century and start this blog. First things first, a picture that anyone who knows of, has been to or wants to go to Kathmandu will have seen - Swayambunath, the Monkey Temple. Home to roughly 3,000 hungry monkeys it has a beautiful view of Kathmandu valley.

To help get you in the mood and feeling like part of the family I've also included a pic of Dawa bai, my loyal sherpa. I met Ang Dawa in 2002 when he came with me to Island Peak. Then he was 17, had been trekking for 5 years and spoke 11 languages! He is very excited about us coming back to Nepal and trekking with him again, and as he spends every monsoon season learning a different language online he will probably be up to 18 languages by now!
