Citizenship: USAhave raised 3 kids... they all have a life, but so do I!! I have my feet mired in a house building project right now, when that is finished, hope to consolidate a few things and hit road again. am a solo traveler... but is niiice to meet people along the way. hardest thing for me to do is decide where to go.. seems like I always return to places I have been before (of course that isn't always true or I never would have been there in the first place) am an impulse traveler, not much of a planner. hostels or 1 star hotels or mom-n-pop places are perfect, (although if a dorm stinks too much I am outta there and into a hotel... that's happened a few times!)
Hobbies:european architecture (french, italian, spanish, mediterranean, especially) art & history- old world plaster (walls are my canvas--- walls of shame to walls of fame) I love my coffee, can literally sit all day, reading and watching the world go by (people watcher too) antique hunting (don't get me wrong, I love museums, but I can spend more time in a junk store or warehouse than a museum any day)
Love the california foothills.... I have 13 acres, has to be the most beautiful place on planet earth. what a place to call home.
Italy, France (Sicily, Rome, Paris, Marsaille, Montpellier) my priorities to visit are Portugal, Morocco, back to Spain (and Italy again!!) Ireland, Poland, Czech Republic, Slavokia (awesome mountains!)

Finally we arrived in Villa St. Giovanni and waited... and waited... for the train to be disconnected and transported onto the ferry to take us to Sicily. Sat there on train forever. Finally, we got moving, only to get STUCK on the tracks somehow. They jerked the train back and forth trying to get the train un-stuck, but to no avail. There was some announcement over the intercom, and people began to grab their belongings and exit the train. It was now getting really late, like about 10:00pm; already we were 5 hours late. We all exited the train, and stood around wondering what to do next. I canno

got a call from my youngest son. 'Dad', since your wings are sufficiently clipped, can I borrow your rolling backpack?' And thus in the last 4 months, my rolling backpack has been to England, France, Switzerland, Germany, Italy and Greece. Then my OLDEST son borrowed it to go to Portugal, and now he has it with him in Costa Rica. And here I sit. Until I get this house built, my 'wangs' are clipped.
