Well the tickets have been bought and the visas have been secured. All that lies between me and going back to Russia is about 30 days. It will be my first trip back since I came home as a lowly exchange student in college. I can't believe it has been fourteen years. Where does the time go?
In Paris, just outside the Cathedral of Notre Dame, there is a marker. It is the starting point or "zero" point of measuring the kilometers on French highways. The French say that if you visit this spot, then you are destined to one day return to Paris. I wonder if there is such a spot in Moscow, and did I visit it back in '95? I saw a lot of things there, but none stick out so much as the body of Lenin, the tomb of Stalin, and the tomb of Yuri Gagarin.
