To date I have been browsing the internet and have received received a response from the forums.

I luckily came across http://www.seejamaicacheaply.com which provided me with a lot of option. Apparently from the advice given to me by a travel advisor there are no "real hostels" in Jamaica but rather small properties or private home owners providing rooms.

I saw some lovely ones which I will be considering. Now to search for hostels in Grenada.
