Ko Samui Thailand Island!

Ko Samui Thailand is where I have lived for the past 5 months.

We moved here on a whim and have decided to stay for a while. This place, as great as it is, is made even greater because we can choose at anytime to go to one of the other nearby Thailand islands - Ko Pha-ngan or Ko Tao. We could also take a Seatran ferry over to Don Sak Pier and head to Surat Thani or Nakhon si Thammarat - both bigger cities.

Ko Samui is fine for most times though. No need to leave the island very much at all. We find that we're rarely bored. We're simple folk. Simply nuts sometimes, but, that's simple too - yes?

Ko Samui is coming into full-swing with the hoards of (hordes?) of tourists running around. It's not quite the quiet peaceful island we had for a few months when we first got here. I'd been here before when samui was a madhouse with tourists and accidents and drunks sleeping on the sidewalks.

We're not quite at THAT point yet, but we will be... we will be.

I live in the North East of Thailand near the Laos border in a rather large town, Ubon Ratchathani. I know the area and have a good Thai friend that can be your personal taxi driver to Laos, Pattaya, anywhere really. The house I stay in has rooms for rent - new house, separate bath. :) COME TO UBON!
