Singapore in Brief

Singapore is a bit of a shock after our quiet nights on Lombok. Since flying out of Mataram's International Airport in Lombok and landing in the very humid and modern city of Singapore - we've been busy! Our hotel worked out great - Suzanne had reserved us a room at Perak Lodge in Little India. It's a restored row of shophouses and has a lot of charm. We of course have too much on our list to do in just 2.5 days here - but we're trying! Between walking to Hawker Centers to sample food, riding the ultra clean and fast MRT (Singapore's subway), photographing temples and architecture, we've had time to interact with very friendly and helpful Singaporeans. No one has asked us where we're from, what our 'program' is for the day or if we need transport. It's kinda weird! Hitting the Internet cafe at the end of the day isn't always ideal, as I'm tired and not too inspired to write.
