dr.pepper Accommodation Reviews
Brisbane Hotel review: Astor Metropole
I stayed here with my wife, 1-year old son and my wife's grandparents. We enjoyed our time here and were pretty happy with the accommodation on the whole. Two sore points:
1. I was told by the hotel that they don't offer the airport voucher -- that's outdated information. I've emailed them since asking them to update their information here, but alas, no response.
2. A few of the front-desk staff were a bit surly.
Christchurch hotel review: Thomas's Hotel - on Hereford
I stayed in a private room at Thomas Hotel for a night. It's pretty basic accommodation and what you'd expect for the price. The shower wasn't the best (but not the worst I encountered either). Location-wise, it's right near the Arts Centre and Hagley Park, so it's a great spot.
Christchurch hotel review: Hotel SO
Hotel So is quite luxurious for the price. The rooms aren't huge, but they're well designed and have everything you need. I felt like they were comparable to some of the 3.5/4 star hotels I've stayed in, with the most noticeable difference being the room size. Location-wise, it's a three minute walk to the Cathedral and the centre of Christchurch, and very close to the central bus depot.
Wellington HOSTEL review: Wellywood Backpackers
Great location and good value for reasonable accommodation. I stayed in a private twin room and it was relaxed enough. Nothing exceptional, but just a friendly place where you can be social if you want to.
Princetown HOSTEL review: The 13th Apostle
This is an excellent hostel near the Great Apostles. My wife and I stayed here and thought the service was great. The owners live upstairs and always greet you with a smile. Princetown itself is a tiny town, but the location near the Great Apostles makes this a convenient spot.
