Istanbul HOSTEL review: International House Istanbul
The exact location may be hard to find and you have to carry luggage up one flight of stairs but it is worth the effort. The staff here are young and friendly, (muhammet and mehmet and friends), really loved the atmosphere, very homely too.
Had a great stay at ihouse!
Cairo HOSTEL review: Hola Cairo
Everything was great, the staff spoke English and were very helpful in giving directions and recommending tours. Some tours were a little pricey but understandable as they are meant for tourists. Breakfast is provided although the selection is limited. (Only bread and a drink). May want to expand selection with eggs/ham/salad.
Alexandria HOTEL review: Hotel Acropole
Location was good, but the hostel was old and dinghy, and the bathrooms were not very clean. No heater in the rooms during winter as well.
Cappadocia / Goreme apartment review: Rock Valley Cappadocia
Great location and nice views from the hostel pool. Loved the rooms. Great cook there (hasan). Everything was great except the people managing the hostel can be too inquisitive about your itinerary and try to push for their own tours. The tours and shuttle booked through the hostel are generally slightly more pricey than tours booked direct through agents. When we ran into some difficulty contacting the agent, we were not provided much help from the hostel.
