The 'good' are distinguished from the 'evil'. Those with virtuous conduct in their past life will be led over the 'Golden Bridge' to reach paradise. Those whose past good deeds outweigh crimes committed will be sent to the 'Silver Bridge' to reach paradise.
After drinking the magic tea, the sinners leave the Ten Courts of Hell via one of the six paths of the Samara. Depending on the prisoner's past life, he would either be reborn either as a human or an animal. Some would be reborn into a life of ease and comfort while others into sorrow and suffering.
The final judgement is passed in this court after prisoners have serve their sentences. They will then be brought to the 'Pavilion of Forgetfulness' where an old lady 'Men Po' hands them a cup of magic tea which on drinking, makes them forget their past lives.
Those who commit robbery, murder, rape and any other unlawful conduct will have their head and arms chopped off. Those who neglect the old and the young will be crushed under boulders.
Those who lack of filial obedience, cause trouble for parents or family members or cheat during examinations will have his intestines and organs pulled out. Harming others to benefit oneself will have his body dismembered.
Rumour-mongers and sowing discord among family members will have their tongue pulled out. Rapists and driving someone to their death will be thrown into wok of boiling oil.
Those who cheat, curse and abduct others will be thrown onto a tree of knives. Those who misuse books, possess pornographic material, break written rules and regulations and waste food will have their body sawn into two.
Those who plotted another's death for his property or money and money lenders with exorbitant interest rates will be thrown onto a hill of knives.
