Travel Photography > Photos taken in Swaziland
At the Sandlane border gate I told the officer I was disappointed to not see any Bushman paintings in Swaziland. He stepped around the counter, lead me outside, and introduced me to a local, named Patrick who would guide us to the nearby rock paintings. We arrived just as this teacher from a nearby school was taking his students to show them the paintings. The green container holds water that he splashed on the rock to make the images darker
These are breed of cattle descended from the stock of the original inhabitants of South Africa. After a few days in Milwane I was able to distinguish an impala or nyala from a bontebuck and a wildebeest aka gnu from a roan antelope.
Visitors to the Milwane game preserve can stay in these huts. The Happy (or was it Hungry?) Hippo restaurant served impala, wildebeest and warthog while I was there. Here's one that was spared.

One of the roads on which visitors travel by foot, horseback, private car, or open jeep with a guide.
Dead hyena and dog. We summised that hyena was chasing dog and both fell off the steep bank into the lake and drowned.

This was at Milwane Wildlife park which was lovely.
