These are breed of cattle descended from the stock of the original inhabitants of South Africa. After a few days in Milwane I was able to distinguish an impala or nyala from a bontebuck and a wildebeest aka gnu from a roan antelope.
Visitors to the Milwane game preserve can stay in these huts. The Happy (or was it Hungry?) Hippo restaurant served impala, wildebeest and warthog while I was there. Here's one that was spared.
One of the roads on which visitors travel by foot, horseback, private car, or open jeep with a guide.
Dead hyena and dog. We summised that hyena was chasing dog and both fell off the steep bank into the lake and drowned.
