Rio de Janeiro - Urca District

Although situated very close to the place where Rio de Janeiro was founded, in 1565, Urca is a young District, built in a reclaimed land area, at the foot of Sugar Loaf Mountain, in the first decades of the XX Century. Once known for its famous Casino, Urca remains as an amazing and exclusive neighbourhood, one of the best in town. The photo was taken from Urca Hill.

One of brazilian most beautiful cities, Recife blends rich cultural and historical attractions with fine beaches. Here we can see Boa Viagem, a district famous for its beach... waiting for the rain! I took this pic from a plane, leaving Recife.

Rio de Janeiro - Corcovado

Here is another view of Corcovado Mountain (710 meters high) and Christ The Redeemer monument, taken from a bus stop. This "Number One" landmark can be seen from (almost) everywhere in town, like this street (Rua Humaitá), a very busy one.
