This is the sinkhole that leads to a network of tunnels under the town of Mt. Gambier. A brewing company once used this sinkhole and associated caves as a waste dump. The town figured it would be better to clean the caves up and send tourists down into them... win/win situation, considering the caves are inseperably linked to the watertable....
