Herculaneum. Amphitrite was an ancient marine deity, the consort of Poseidon. They had a son, Triton, and a daughter, Rhode. Amphitrite's offspring also included seals and dolphins.

Pliny the Younger described the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD as being in the shape of a stone pine: "I cannot give you a more exact description of its appearance than by comparing to a stone pine tree; for it shot up to a great height in the form of a tall trunk, which spread out at the top as though into branches."

These padlocks seemed randomly attached to a signpost near the Ponte Vecchio in Florenece. Apparently, people put locks on railing, bridges, posts etc as a way to show their love for someone else.... you can see the names of some of the people written on the locks.
