When the Fort was built, there was about 200 feet of land between the "Castle" and Lake Onterio. That is almost entirely gone due to erosion, but there is now a concrete bulkhead to protect against further erosion.

The Yukon Railroad is about the only thing that connects Skagway to anywhere else.
Soapy was some kind of gangster in the Goldrush Days when Skagway was new. I think he owned everything in town and was apparently very scary. Someone killed him in 1898 and now this big skull is painted on the side of this rock. I don't really know why. But it was pirate-y, so I liked it.
These are at the Edgar I. Brown Homestead in South Dakota. It is the only prairie dog town with white prairie dogs!
