If you are not a ski-jumper, go at least to the top to see a wonderful view of Lahti's town centre and the crystal-clear lakes that surround it
Lahti's ski-jumps prepared for the 2001 European championship occupy a large space within Lahti's sports centre, a big complex dedicated mostly to winter sports.
Lahti, 100 km north of Helsinki is a town of greenery and sports. This is witnessed by Lahti's beautiful environment and the town's sports centre, famous for its ski-jumps.

Pohjoiesplanadi, Helsinki's wonderful avenue hosted an exhibition of classic cars from Moscow. The photo shows the cars passing through the southernmost end of Pohjoiesplanadi, a stone's throw away from the Kaupattori market.
Uspensky Cathedral, a stone's throw away from Helsinki's Kaupattori market, dominates the skyline.
This Russian Orthodox Cathedral is a huge red-brick structure that can be seen from anywhere around Helsinki harbour.
A view of the enormous Cathedral on Senate square. It is architecturally wonderful from the outside but plain and austere inside.
